Surge Protection

The live wire or main power line in a surge protector includes an additional linked connection that feeds into a ground cable. A ground wire’s purpose is to direct any additional current safely to the ground. The surge connection in the protector remains inactive until a larger than normal voltage seems. This excess current is then securely redirected through the extra earth wire, directly into the ground. This prevents more current than ordinary from flowing into your appliances effectively making sure that they are protected from any harm that can result from power surges.
